Job Description

We are partnered with a small, mainline church in Pennsylvania, seeking a Lead Pastor to continue reaching their suburban community. This is a strong, loving church family that desires to reach people where they are, attract new and young believers and build a place for families to take them into the next century.

 

Vision and Direction - The Lead Pastor discerns God’s call for this church and with the aid of the leadership, sets a clear vision and direction for this body.

 

Organizational Leadership - The Lead Pastor is able to attract, retain and develop church staff and volunteers to reach and exceed their goals.

 

Fiscal Stewardship - The Lead Pastor works with the church’s leadership to maintain good stewardship of the church's resources.

 

Teaching - The Lead Pastor is responsible for writing and delivering a sermon during Sunday service and special services such as Christmas and Easter.

 

Services - The Lead Pastor is responsible for developing worship and other ministries to set an atmosphere that is inviting and welcoming.

 

 

Requirements

• 10+ years in vocational ministry, including some experience as a senior or lead pastor

• Experience in an elder or committee-led church

• Mainline church background either in vocational or personal background

• Eager, extroverted, outreach-driven minister

• Education equivalent to a Masters of Divinity

• Experience in church planting and/or church revitalization
