Who We Are


LifeHouse Church is a Strategic Partner with North Point Ministries ( Our vision is to create a church where unchurched people love to attend. Our mission is to invite and lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We have grown to around 1,200 people each week, which includes about 150 middle and high school students and around 350 children birth through fifth grade.  We have been in a new 52,000 sq ft facility for almost 2 years now.

Our Location & Area
LifeHouse is located in the rural community of Van Wert, Ohio. (Pop. 11,000)  We are conveniently located 1/2 hour from Lima, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana where you can find an abundance of shopping, restaurants, and things to do.  Van Wert has an incredible school system and is a solid community that is family friendly.

Our Approach to Family Ministry

Our ministry to families is a priority. We implement and are committed to an Orange ministry philosophy ( integrating our ministry to children, students, and parents. We view ourselves as a partner with parents and as a resource in helping them to raise children who grow to know and love God and who honor Him with their lives. We seek to involve mentors to become partners with students leading them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and as we mobilize a new generation of Christian leaders.


Core Job Responsibilities

  • To build and provide overall leadership for large and small group environments where students prioritize their relationship with Christ, positively influence their friends toward Christ, and engages others by serving in personal ministry
  • Develop an effective partnership between the church and parents 
  • Create a team of volunteers who lead, build relationships with students, and help orchestrate the ministry to students
  • Provide visionary leadership to all student ministry volunteers and environments which includes strategic planning and budgeting process for student ministry
  • Lead student ministry while being a champion for the overall vision and mission of the church
  • Fostering relationships with local area schools for the opportunity to influence and attract the unchurched

Leader Profile

  • Self-motivated and committed to an authentic, growing relationship with Christ
  • Experience in church leadership that clearly demonstrates your ability to build, motivate, equip and lead a growing diversity of high capacity teams and people
  • Committed to an Orange family ministry philosophy and a small group approach to student ministry
  • Understands trends, challenges, mindsets and needs of teenage students 
  • Excels in developing systems and planning ahead 
  • Has a passion for reaching unchurched people 
  • An excellent communicator who is skilled at preaching, training, and casting vision
  • Relationally connects with students, parents and volunteers 
  • A working knowledge of the Orange approach to family ministry and the North Point Ministry model is preferred


  • Consideration will be given on education and previous ministry/job experience and performance
